The Enduring Legacy
The Arthurian legend has been of fundamental importance in Western culture. A variety of literary works, movies, and video games are all adaptations of the classic legends of King Arthur and his knights.
But it is the Arthurian tradition which continues to serve in modern times, and in all forms of the writing that has flourished from the medieval romances to to the modern fantastical narratives, as a well of human courage, as a reminder of the possibility that human passion and imagination can find its way to miraculous, magical and unexplainable results, and as the unattainable fascination of a classic tale.
